Movie star Angelina Jolie is finding it very difficult to lose the baby weight after giving birth to twins on 12th July, so she's banned all junk food from their home in France which she shares with movie actor Brad Pitt and their six children.

The house was stocked with candy and unhealthy snacks for the children so Angelina threw it all out. She keeps fruit and vegies around now which the children are not happy about but Angelina is desperate to lose the baby weight as her body is not snapping back like it has before.

TV shows Eva Langoria Parker, from Desperate Housewives is now the co-owner of a successful Los Angeles restaurant called "Beso" that opened in March this year.

Eva and her partner are planning to open restaurants in other locations, such as New York City, Boston and San Antonio, but it's speculated that Las Vegas will more likely be their next location first as Eva's looking at space in the Palms Hotel.

Sports celebrity, Nancy Kerrigan 38, who is a skater, gave birth to a girl on 14th May, joining two brothers aged 11 and 3.

Movies actor Sean Thomas who appeared in the movie "Save the Last Dance" and his wife welcomed there little girl on 16th May. He was quoted as saying "now I have two gorgeous girls to love".

Sports celebrity, Lance Armstrong, has won the Tour de France seven times. but his biggest prize so far has been winning the heart of Kate Hudson. Kate Hudson starred in the movies "How to lose a guy in 10 days" back in 2003 and "Fool's Gold" this year.

Lance describes Kate as "the ultimate woman", but originally Kate always said no because she was either newly divorced or dating somebody, so when Kate and Owen Wilson (movie actor) called it quits, Lance quickly jumped at the chance.

Lance approached Kate to see if she wanted to play his wife in an upcoming biopic movie being made about him beating testicular cancer back in 1996 and going on to break records in the sports field of cyling. Kate was very very keen as she knew the movie would be a hit.

After discussing the movie and role that she would play, they never looked back and Lance is totally smitten with her.

Johnny Cash, singer/songwriter was born in 1932 in Arkansas. His early music compositions shared influences of local country and gospel music.

Johnny Cash was only 12 when he started playing the guitar and after serving in the armed forces, he ended up fronting a band called the “Tennessee Two” with guitarists Marshall Grant and Luther Perkins. Their sound was a mixture of blues and country and western music, which was labeled “rockabilly” by people in the record industry. Later on, when they introduced a drummer by the name of W.S. Holland to the group, they changed their name to “Tennessee Three”.

Johnny’s second release called “Cry Cry Cry” back in 1955, made #14 on the billboard charts and with help from Sun Records producer Sam Phillips, he was introduced to and joined an influential collection of artists, namely Carl Perkins, Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis, taking on the name “The Million Dollar Quartet”.

Johnny Cash, in 1956, recorded his big hit “Folsom Prison Blues” and that very same year, his song “I Walk the Line” produced his first #1 country hit. In 1957 he released his debut album called “Johnny Cash with his Hot & Blue Guitar”.

Johnny Cash passed away in 2003 due to complications with diabetes. In 2005, the story of his love affair with June Carter, who became Cash’s second wife, was made into a film, called “Walk the Line”, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon.

Jordin Sparks has been the youngest contestant so far to win American Idol (music / singing competition), taking the title in their sixth season.

Jordin Sparks lives in Glendale, Arizona, and is the daughter of Phillippi Sparks who was a left corner back for the Dallas Cowboys and a defensive back for the New York Giants in his younger days.

Although Jordin Sparks never had any voice training, she exposed a talent for singing and whilst still a child, she was singing, performing in plays and modeling, leaving a trail of recognition for her many talents.

Jordin Sparks had the privilege of performing with Alice Cooper and Michael W Smith and she was Coca Cola’s Rising Star back in 2002. She made her first recording with 2003’s For Now EP with CCM (contemporary christian music) Matthew Ward and engineer Gary Leach.

Not only in 2004 did Jordin Sparks win two awards at the “2004 Gospel Music Association Academy” but that same year she came second in the “Music in the Rockies” competition as well as appearing twice on “America’s Most Talented Kids”.

In 2006 Jordin Sparks came first in a plus size model search hosted by “Torrid Clothing” and was featured in an advertisement for “Torrid” in the December copy of “Seventeen Magazine”.

This was the same year that Jordin Sparks auditioned for American Idol, but went on to fail in the Los Angeles tryouts although she later went on to win the American Idol associated contest “Arizona Idol”. She then again auditioned for the show in Seattle, this time making it through to Hollywood, singing Celine Dion’s song “Because you Loved Me”. Growing from strength to strength each and every week she found herself placed amongst the last 12 finalists in 2007.

When Jordin Sparks performed the songs “I Who have Nothing” and “Hey Baby” she really displayed what she was capable of, accumulating a huge fan following. Unlike other previous contestant’s who went on to win American Idol, Jordin never found herself in the bottom two or three throughout the entire competition.

Jordin Sparks went on to knock out the last two remaining contestants, namely Blake Lewis and Melinda Doolittle, becoming the sixth American Idol in May 2007. Jordin’s single “This is my Now” was released not too long after the shows grand finale, and performed on the American Idol tour.

Tim McGraw sang in Nashville clubs for several years and ended up getting himself a deal with Curb Records in 1992. His first country music single, called "Welcome to the Club" was released that same year, and his first album which came out in 1993 didn’t even make the charts.

Everything turned around for Tim McGraw with his country music single in 1994 called “Not a Moment Too Soon”. When he released his song "Indian Outlaw" it was well accepted by his fans but was looked upon as demeaning to Native Americans. Even though some radio stations refused to play the song, it made the country top ten. Even with all the good and bad publicity of that song it actually helped McGraw's next single called "Don't Take the Girl" make it all the way to the top of the country charts. From that time on, it was one hit after another for McGraw, establishing him as a huge icon in the country music industry.

Amanda Overmyer who sang "Back in the U.S.S.R." last Tuesday night on American Idol is now heading home.

Amanda, a 23 year old nurse from Mulberry, Indiana, was voted off Wednesday night, leaving the final 10 contestants to battle it out amongst themselves for the title and record contract.

Although a crowd pleasing performer with streaked hair and a talent for southern rock, she appeared to take her elimination with a grain of salt, quoting "it's been a run....No. 11 out of all them people is more than I could expect".

Carly Smithson and Kristy Lee Cook also found themselves in the bottom 3 results.

Kristy Lee, a 24-year-old from Selma, Oregon, has found herself in the bottom 3 over the last few weeks, constantly being criticized by Simon Cowell.

Simon Cowell has been quoted to say of Kristy Lee Cook; "forgettable" and compared her voice to “Dolly Parton on helium" and continued his criticism of her Tuesday night after she sang the Beatles song "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away”.

He went on to quote; "you're like musical wallpaper, in so much as you notice it, but you can't remember it, and that's what you're doing week after week, you're making no impact."

Kristy Lee responded by saying; "I can blow you out of your socks, and you know it."

Kellie Pickler who was a season five finalist made a guest appearance on Wednesday nights American Idol.

It was announced that this year's selection of celebrity mentors will be Dolly Parton, Mariah Carey, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Neil Diamond.
