WII DOWNLOADS - TECHNO MUSIC

wii downloads - techno music
Techno music is a form of electronic dance music that saw its early beginnings in Western Europe in the late 1970’s and later developed and established itself as a style in Detroit, Michigan, during the 1980’s, with it being more of a trend in Europe than in the United States.

American artists such as “Moby” and “The Crystal Method” who started their careers producing techno music were originally successful in Europe, but did not really gain a strong presence in the United States until branching out into other styles such as “break beat” and “electronica”.
Techno music then took off and was introduced to related styles of music, making it globally recognized by the 1990’s and was used as background music in clubs, whilst being used in movies and video games, as background music for action sequences.

Techno music is often used to generally express all forms of electronic dance music, although electronic music can be broken down into more styles mostly defined by the types of instrumental hardware they use and the music's beats per minute. It’s created by using computers, drum machines, synthesizers, and sometimes acoustic instruments.

Techno music is unique, in that it appeals to people at certain times and has so many different related musical styles that people can listen to and is purely created for one purpose only - being danced to.

Techno music is about using technology in unexpected ways, like the rapper taking the record turntable and using the “scratch and turn” method to develop a different style of music. Techno music is fast paced, ranging from 120 -160 beats per minute, with a heavy emphasis on bass drums, ghostly sounding synthesized melodies, and computer generated samples.

The great thing about technology today, it allows us to download techno music from the internet directly onto our pc’s and onto our MP3 players, letting us listen to our favorite music when and where we want to.
